Looksmart is a web directory that charges a fee for site submission, and a Pay-per-Click rate. For $49 (prices may vary over time), you are guaranteed to have your site reviewed and (if appropriate) placed in Looksmart within 48 hours. There is also a need to pre-pay $149 for 100 clicks per month for 10 months, refundable if you cancel. Additionally, you are listed in the most appropriate categories based upon a Looksmart editor's determination.

Looksmart also offers a $49 review and revision plan and only guarantees that your site is reviewed in eight weeks although it is usually much faster.

Before submitting your site to Looksmart, you should first scan the Looksmart directory to find the most appropriate category. Second, you should make sure your title and description does not exceed 35 and 145 characters respectively. After this, you can then proceed to fill out the form and submit your site.

Looksmart will contact you by email about your submission. If successful, they will tell what category your site was placed into. Otherwise, they will write you about the appeal process. You can resubmit to other categories about every 6 weeks.
